SKYDEX inserts can be integrated into existing vehicle cushions to improve comfort, reduce the transfer of vibration and increase the lifespan of the seat cushion through improved durability.
Vibration within a vehicle transfers through the seat cushion to the seated occupant. This transfer of vibration is increased when typical foam materials are compressed under the IT bones. The bony structure of the pelvis provides a direct path for vibration to transfer to the spine and other areas of the body.
The unique way that SKYDEX geometries compress under the dynamics of vehicle motion makes them able to reduce the transfer of vibration from the seat to the IT bones. In turn, reducing the fatigue an occupant experiences.
